LILY VANILLI CAKE DECORATING CLASS

As a novice baking enthusiast this class held by head baker Megan at the Lily Vanilli bakery in East London was a no brainer. 

The cobbled street mews holds the quaint bakery not too far from Hoxton. Filled with a plethora of trendy flavoured baked treats yet decorated in somewhat a traditional vintage style. 

£150 down, the class included training from some of Londons best talent in the piping world. Drinks, baked snacks and the cake you decorate goes home with you. Sounded like a win win to us, so off to the intimate class we went. 

Around 8 of us excluding our instructor, the kitchen Island was filled with freshly baked chocolate & vanilla 2 tier cakes, all the plush gear necessary for a smooth finish and our name tags.

The filling options were Salted caramel, frozen raspberries with American butter cream. Honestly we're not writing this to sell it to you but it really was worth the price. The training we received was 2nd to none, the confidence gained towards decorating not to mention the outcome of our cakes! We were impressed to say the least, we also brought our teen daughter along as a birthday present. This class does accommodate all levels, let us know if you have tried it out.

The question is are Skinny Jeans back?? I didn't know what to wear, my leggings were too casual, my trousers weren't ironed so I reached for the "Skinny Jean".

When I first put them on I was filled with the uncomfortable nostalgia of 2016; to be honest they felt so dated until I found the right footwear. I had zero time so I had to bare the discomfort for the love of fashion.

I highly doubt any new pairs will be added to my wardrobe, if I want to take part in the trend I will just wear what I have.

BEFORE YOU DO COMPOSITE BONDING

The truth is brushing your teeth with a manual toothbrush twice a day is not enough. I've learnt this the hard way and have been fast tracked into improving my dental hygiene.

I recently visited the Hygienist for the 1st time ever... let's just say that was an experience. My flossing routine and interdental game is now strong.

For the 1st time since school I had a check up and fortunately only 1 cavity was found. 

They told me I grind my teeth so now I have a mouthguard at night. 

My toothpaste is prescription based because my teeth are very sensitive. I upgraded my toothbrush and its now so advanced it can tell if I've had a difficult day. For a toothbrush review click here

There have been a lot of 'firsts' in this journey, for those who have been putting it off don't wait like I did!

Get ahead of it because it really is domino affect to your health.

I'm currently doing a course of (boutique) teeth whitening before I finally fix any wear and tear with composite bonding.

The truth is I am playing catch up but here is a small reminder to check the health of your teeth before dealing with the cosmetic side.

MOTHERS DAY EVENT TFS

We recently went to The Fragrance Shops Mothers day event. As serious fragrance lovers we feel really grateful to get to be able to smell all the new releases in one space. There were many on display but the Chloe Nomade range really stood out amongst the crowd. When going to events having good basics is a way to always a good starting point to an outfit. A great way to look polished whilst rewearing the same outfit. Here is the outfit I wore which has been worn many times just refreshed with rotational accessories.
